West Oz Kite and SUP run kiteboarding lessons in Safety Bay and Shoalwater (weather dependent). The bay lies wholly within the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park, a pristine habitat for a rich variety of birds and marine life centred on Penguin Island.

With crystal clear water, cross shore breezes and no boats, swimmers or obstacles, Shoalwater really is the best location in Perth for your kiteboarding lessons.

Just 35 minutes from Perth CBD. Take the Safety Bay Road exit (turn right) off the Freeway and follow this road along. You will go past the beach for a fair way and the road changes it name to Arcadia Drive. You will get to a 90 degree point and be able to see Penguin Island. The carpark we operate from is where the Wild Encounters, Pengos Cafe and Ferry leaves from and you will see our van and trailer.

If using a navigator the address is Arcadia Drive, near corner of Penguin Road, Shoalwater.

Bus and Train also come to Rockingham with pick-up from the Warnbro Station available by prior arrangement (or you can catch the bus 551 from Rockingham Station to Penguin Island)
